It was ancient when it was given to me 8 years ago, but being black it simply gets better with age as it becomes more thread bare and comfy.
The Mortal White T-shirt
While most of my t-shirts are black, my t-shirt of preference is white; I just don’t put them into my rotation as often because they have a life time of about a year before the must be retired. As such, if you are entering into a relationship with a white t-shirt, do so knowing that your pit sweat is going to turn the underarms of your shirt a putrid brown-yellow-green depending on your personal body chemistry. My favourite t-shirt of all-time was a remake of a band t-shirt for Ratt. It featured a rat with electrodes leading from a mixing board to its brain being electrocuted. It was awesome. When I finally retired it with much sadness the whole of the t-shirt was too rancid looking to even wear around the house
Novelty tees
Very rarely will I wear anything that has comprehensible text espousing a message of any sort. I like subtly. As such the oldest t-shirt in my collection I bought from a charity shop when I was 16. It looks like a Spanish football jersey but on closer inspection is actually in support of Gryffindor. The inside of the collar is frayed completely around the inside and might be retired soon.
